KC

A few weeks ago we went on a trip to Kansas City to a temple open house! We met our friends the O'Brien's early early early to get to KC for our 8am tour time!

 The temple was beautiful and the girls loved it! However they kept asking when we were going to see Grandma because they know the temple is far away- and so is Grandma. I was really cold and windy that morning so I didn't get to take many pictures. Luckily it warmed up for the rest of our trip.

 After our tour we went to the Science Center in Union Station. It was a really beautiful building!

So many fun things to do! Chad and Lily doing a tug-of-war against Jayden and Ellie! 

The girls got to learn about soil by making some they could eat with pudding, crumbled cookie, and even some gummy worms and gummy carrots!

With the Science Center being in Union Station there is a part dedicated to trains.

We didn't even get to do everything because we all needed a nap from such an early start to the day! We will have to go back some time and do it again! 

One great part of the trip was that we got to stay at one of the properties that the company Chad works for owns there! A whole apartment for us to stay in for free! Woo-hoo!

  

 We spent a little time playing a a pretty big mall there too. We went to the Crayola store and saw some other fun things including some fountains with blue water!

The play place in the mall we really fun! It was an animal theme with all sorts of things to do! Lily liked jumping and Ellie had fun pretending she was different animals. 

Speaking of animals... The next day we went to the zoo!

We love animals and it's always fun to see the girls react to them!

For Lily and Ellie hands down the best part was riding on the "African Sky Safari". It goes right over the zebras, giraffes and other African animals!

We ever got to ride on a carousel! We happen to sit on two lions. Ellie was on "Nala"

and Lily was on "Simba"

We got to see one things close up like these birds that Lily was trying to pick up.

 and some deer.

It was a really fun mini vacation! My goal someday is to visit all 50 states and this little trip crossed two off my list that I had never been to before! (Missouri and Kansas) We are excited for summer and all the fun stuff that goes along with it!
