This summer has been so much fun but so hot! For family home evening one night we washed our van in the backyard. After the van was washed the girls were soaked (as was Chad) so we just decided to play in the water and sprinkler!
Lily and Ellie still really don't like getting water on their face or near their eyes so the sprinkler is a little scary at first for them.
After a few times over with Dad they would finally do it by themselves.

Chad is such a good Dad. He just loves playing with his kids!
So cute.
On the 4th of July we went to a water park with our neighbors and played all day! That evening we had a BBQ and ate some super yummy food.
Chad had a few small "flower" fireworks from a long time ago that we set off in the road. Ellie thought they were petty cool.
They neighbors had some sparklers that the kids had fun doing! I saw the cup over the hand idea on Pintrist and it worked great!
Lily was a little scared at first but Chad helped her see how fun it was!
We saw some of a big fireworks show from the street we live on but didn't go over to it because it was bedtime! I love Independence day and this year did not disappoint!
